The Maronite Antonine Order recognized the need for dental laboratory education and training in Lebanon. In 1986 The Odonto Technology Institute was founded and was first of its kind in Lebanon. A career as a dental laboratory specialist offers a wide range of challenges.
Since each dental patient’s specific needs are different, the duties of a dental laboratory specialist are comprehensive and varied.

Although dental laboratory specialist may not work directly with patients, they work directly with the dentist by following detailed written instructions and using impressions of the patient’s teeth or oral soft tissues. From these impressions they create complete dentures, partial dentures, crowns and bridges, ceramics, implantology or orthodontic restorations.
